Kalen researches your niche on X, scores the drafts your AI writes and publishes the posts you approve. To do that it needs your X connection and your posts. We keep the rest to a minimum and protect what we keep.
What we store
- Your email address, when you sign up or buy. It identifies your account and is where we send links and receipts. We store it encrypted.
- Your X connection. You connect your X account through X’s own OAuth screen. We store the access tokens X gives us, encrypted at rest, plus your X handle and account id. We never see your X password. You can disconnect from your Profile page in Kalen, or revoke Kalen’s access from your X settings at any time.
- Your profile: your niche, keywords, reference accounts, time zone, posting window and tone notes.
- Your posts and media: the text of each post you approve (and its optional first reply), the time it is scheduled for, its status on X, and the images, GIFs or videos you upload for it. We keep them so we can publish them and show them in your queue.
- Research data: public X posts and trends in your niche, the popular posts of your reference accounts and of your own account, with their public metrics. We collect it through the official X API, TwitterAPI.io and ScrapeCreators. It only contains what is already public on X.
- A usage log of calls your AI apps make: the time, the tool, the app’s name and the result. It records the size of each request, never its text.
- Billing records from Stripe: what you bought, when, and the payment status. Card details stay with Stripe; we never see them.
- A session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a readable cookie that only says whether you are signed in.
What we don’t do with your content
- Kalen runs no writing model. Your posts are written by the AI apps you connect yourself.
- To score a draft, Kalen sends its text, with examples of what works in your niche and your own best posts, to TypeSafe (its judgment model, Jev). TypeSafe returns a score; it does not publish anything.
- We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use it for advertising.
- We never post anything you didn’t approve.
How we use data
- To run the service: research your niche, prepare briefings and open time slots, score drafts, and publish approved posts on X.
- To show you your queue, your usage log and your account.
- To bill you and send account emails (welcome, sign-in links, receipts).
- To keep the service safe: rate limits, abuse prevention, debugging.
Providers
- Railway hosts the application, the database and the file storage for your media.
- X receives the posts and media you approved, through the official X API, under X’s privacy policy.
- TwitterAPI.io and ScrapeCreators supply public X posts for the research.
- TypeSafe scores the drafts you ask Kalen to score.
- Stripe processes payments.
- Mailgun sends account email.
- Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel may run on public pages, only after you accept the cookie banner, and never in the signed-in area.
AI apps you connect (such as Claude or ChatGPT) receive the briefings, slots and scores they request on your behalf, under their own privacy policies.
Retention
Your profile, queue and media are kept until you delete them or your account. Cancelling a scheduled post removes it from the queue. Posts already published live on X: deleting them there is up to you. Research data about public posts is refreshed daily and old snapshots are dropped. Database and storage backups kept by our host age out on their own schedule. Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. The usage log is kept while your account exists.
Your rights
You can see your queue, cancel scheduled posts and disconnect X from the app at any time. To delete your account, email support@kalen.si from your account address: we cancel any subscription and scheduled posts, remove your X tokens, and delete the account, its profile, queue, media, keys and usage log. Payment records stay with Stripe as tax and accounting rules require. You can also ask for a copy of your data or a correction by emailing support@kalen.si from your account address. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California) you may have further rights; we honor them.
Changes
We will update this page when the policy changes and show the date above.
