Terms of Use
These terms apply to your use of Kalen (“Kalen”, “we”, “us”) at kalen.si. By creating an account or buying a plan, you agree to them.
What Kalen is
Kalen is an X (Twitter) assistant delivered as an MCP server. AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Claude Code connect to it. Kalen researches what is working in your niche on X, gives your AI a briefing and open time slots, scores the drafts your AI writes, and schedules and publishes the posts you approve on your X account through the official X API. Your AI assistant does the writing. No writing model runs on Kalen’s side.
Plans and billing
- No plan: an account without a subscription can connect X and set up its profile, but can’t schedule posts.
- Starter and Pro are monthly or yearly subscriptions with the daily limits shown on the pricing page (posts per day, link posts per day). A first reply counts as a post.
Prices are shown in US dollars before checkout and processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account; the plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
Your account
You sign in with your email and a password, or with Google. You can create API keys and connect AI apps to your account, and each one can act in Kalen on your behalf: read your plan and queue, set your profile, score drafts, and schedule, change or cancel posts. Keep your password, keys and connected apps secure: you are responsible for activity under them. You can revoke a key or disconnect an app at any time.
A plan is for one person and one X account.
Your X account and your posts
- Kalen posts only what you approved. Your AI shows you the posts and their times, and Kalen schedules them only after you say yes in the chat. You can change or cancel a scheduled post until it is published.
- You are responsible for the content of every post you approve, and for complying with X’s rules and terms, including its automation rules.
- The posts you (or your AI) write are yours. We don’t claim rights in them, don’t sell them, and don’t use them to train AI models.
- Kalen publishes through X’s API, which X controls. X may change, limit, charge for or block API access, or restrict your account, at any time. When that happens some posts may not go out, and we can’t override X’s decisions.
- Some limits come from X or from us and are enforced when you schedule: no @mentions of other accounts, at most one cashtag per post, posts up to 3 weeks ahead, moment posts within 48 hours, and media up to 5 MB (JPG, PNG, WebP), 15 MB (GIF) or 50 MB (MP4).
Scores and research
Scores are an estimate of how a draft compares with what works in your niche and with your own best posts. They are not a promise of reach, followers or sales. Research data comes from public X posts and trends and may be incomplete.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Kalen to:
- post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, spam, or infringes someone’s rights;
- break X’s rules, run fake or coordinated accounts, or manipulate engagement;
- try to get around plan limits, rate limits or security, or access data that isn’t yours;
- resell Kalen or run it as a service for others without our agreement;
- send automated traffic beyond what your AI apps make on your behalf.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
Connected AI apps
Kalen works inside AI apps we don’t control. What those apps write, and what they do with the briefings and scores they receive, is governed by their own terms. Their availability, features and limits are set by their providers.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Kalen available but don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted, or that every scheduled post goes out on time. We may change or improve features and limits.
Refunds and cancellation
See the Refund Policy: subscriptions cancel any time.
Liability
Kalen is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost reach, followers or revenue, or actions X takes on your account. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
